Liberty kicked off the year by joining the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, and hosting our first event in the area. On Tuesday, January 15th, we headed to Frank's at the Old Mill on Highway 54 to enjoy a great lunch, some networking, and spreading valuable information on how Cloud technology can work for local business owners. We were joined by a few Cisco and Ingram partners who helped with the presentation. Lunch was fantastic, and it was great to meet some local members of the Fayette community. We look forward to providing great service and products to businesses in the area. We will be seeing more of you, Fayette County!

Proud to be new Chamber Members!

Carol Wright, Data Center TSE, and Tony Clough, Market Development Manager for Ingram Micro-Cisco Business Unit, flew down from Buffalo, NY to help host the event.

Ben Johnson, Liberty's fearless leader, getting ready to begin the presentation.

The food was FANTASTIC. Thank you, Frank's staff!

Last but not least....We definitely recommend the cannoli.
Ben, Carol, Tony, and Steve Crimmons, our Cisco partner rep, did an overview on how Cloud technology is being used for small and medium business and how Cisco products can make it possible.
Big Congrats to Erik Kopp of Lifetouch National School Studios. Erik was the lucky winner who took home a 64 gig iPad mini!

Liberty Tech Hosts CiscoTelepresence Lunch and Learn
September 5, 2012
On Tuesday, August 21st, Liberty Technology teamed up with Cisco distributor and partner KBZ to demonstrate the power of Telepresence. Patti Inglett, Strategic Account Manager for KBZ led the presentation live, along with Jeff Nicoll, South Regional Director, who joined us via video from his home office in North Carolina. Several other KBZ staff were also on hand from various parts of the country. Patti, Jeff and the others explained the technology, usage, video conferencing etiquette and the benefits of being able to see the people participating in your meetings rather than hosting conference calls or acquiring unneccesary travel expenses
Lunch was catered by MillTowne Gourmet of Griffin. KBZ gave away two HD Cisco cameras to participants and Amanda Rose was the winner of the iPad 3 donated by Liberty Technology. The information shared at the event was beneficial to all of those in attendence. With a vastly assorted group of industries present, all were able to better understand how Cisco Telepresence would benefit the growth of their businesses.

Thank you to our sponsers, hosts, and participants! To make sure you recieve invitations to upcoming technology events, please email Heather Beauchamp at Heather@libertytech.net.

Back in December, Ben Johnson was featured on the Cisco blog in an article by Anna Sui. Ben offers his thoughts on OnPlus, Cisco's cloud based service that is streamlining IT management for it's clients.

Imagine being alerted of a customer’s network issue at your son’s baseball game. Now imagine being able to fix that issue between innings, before the customer even becomes aware of it.
That’s the power of OnPlus, a new managed service Cisco is announcing today to help VARs easily and affordably provide network assessment, management, and advisory services to their small business customers. This new service provides VARs with a cost-effective, scalable business model for those beginning to establish their managed services practice.
So what does this really mean for our channel partners?
If you ask Liberty Technology President and Cisco certified partner Ben Johnson, he’d say that, “Liberty Technology focuses on making technology easy for both consumers and businesses. With Cisco OnPlus, you’re able to get a more complete, 360 degree picture of your customer’s network. We’ve used OnPlus in a number of scenarios, from doing network surveys to quickly troubleshooting and identifying problems with customer’s networks, which has greatly saved us time and of course money.”
